The woods are full of wonderful plants and animals, that can tell us lots about the local environment. Become a Citizen Scientist for the day and help us discover more about K-Woodlands using OPAL surveys. By taking part, we will be helping researchers monitor the health of the natural world around the whole of the UK.
The Polli:Nation survey is a large-scale national survey that will provide answers to important research questions about the health and status of pollinating insects across the UK. Britain has lost 97% of it’s wildflower habitat since the Second World War so, more than ever, these insects need our help. No prior experience is necessary to take part in the survey and it is suitable for people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience.
Join Joanne Dempster, OPAL Community Scientist, on this voyage of discovery through K-Woodland.
