Children and staff at Kirriemuir Nursery in East Kilbride are to hold a charity football match as part of their fundraising campaign for UK charity Children in Need.
The football match will be held at K-Park Training Academy in Calderglen Country Park on Sunday 13th November and is part of a string of events and activities organised by staff at Kirriemuir Nursery. The children and staff have also been guessing the number of sweets in the jar, baking cakes and holding Pudsey picnics to help raise funds for Children in Need.
Event organiser Chloe Bree said: “We chose Children in Need as our charity this year because we wanted to help children who aren’t as fortunate as those at Kirriemuir Nursery, and show the kids how they could make a positive difference to someone else’s life. Everyone is looking forward to wearing their spots for Pudsey on November 18th and we hope that with all the effort put in by the children and staff, we will beat our fundraising target of £200.”
Players in the football match are helping Children in Need by contributing £10 each to participate in the event. Spectator entry to the event is free and all are welcome to come along and show their support for not only Children in Need’s efforts, but also for the hard work of all the staff and children of Kirriemuir Nursery.
