The East Kilbride Community Trust

We celebrated seven years of being recognised as a Scottish Charity (no.SC040731) on 1 April 2016. A lot of hard work has been done so far to make a difference and help empower the community and we intend to further compliment this by continuing to work closely with local community groups and organisations. Since our inception we have achieved many great things that have enriched the community. Some of our greater achievements were the official opening of K-Park Training Academy, the creation of Community Allotments for children with additional support needs (ASN), our annual cross country race held in conjunction with EK Athletics each January, our annual ASN Family Fun Away days with the EKFC Sunday Club and our annual ASN Children’s Christmas party's.

Our Future

We are looking to further enhance East Kilbride by building a Community Stadium, provide an open air Community Area, bring our Community Woodland into active management, provide Social and Inclusive housing. Our plans for the future, are always with the aim of building a safer, stronger, happier community and delivering programmes and initiatives that enhance opportunities and the lives of all in East Kilbride. These community facilities will provide much needed employment, community engagement and resources which will in turn encourage and create more apprenticeships and training for local community.

ASN Children’s Christmas Party 11th December 2016

We will have fantastic activities in place for the children and their families on this day. There will be dancing, party games, arts & crafts, a petting zoo, Nativity Play, a Choir and celebrity guest appearances as well as Santa’s grotto!

ASN Family Fun day at Loch Fyne 28th May 2016

This will be our forth family fun day out that we have organised in conjunction with local children’s disability football club, EKFC Sunday club. It’s a day that is always well attended as it’s an action packed day of activities for the fantastic children and their families that attend the football club each week.
